Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Why does the movie listing not show?

Answer:  There may be several reasons for this.  One, perhaps there are no movies to display for your city of interest; the theater(s) may have neglected to update.  Two, perhaps the listing is currently updating.  Three, the system might be over-worked due to a large number of viewers. 

Solution:  Try refreshing your browser.  If it does not work on the second refresh, try the "alternate page." If that does not work the theaters are probably being updated.  Try again in a few hours.  If your listing continues not to work for you, please contact me ASAP. (email below)

Question:  How come it takes a long time for the listing to show?

Answer:  Simple, in order to deliver show times in English to you, we must use several programs.  One to gather current movies and times from the Korean website, another to translate the location into English and link it up to the location link, another to translate the movies to English and another to put it on the website.  This process takes time to work.

Question:  Why do only some movies show only Korean words?

Answer:  Every week there are dozens of new movies, but generally only a few movies that hit the major theaters.  Smaller Art Cinemas located around the country play movies dating back to the 1960's.  It is almost impossible to track every movie playing in the country.

Solution:  If you want to know what the movie is that is playing, copy the Korean text and do a Google Search for the text.  Generally there is a translate option next to each Korean page provided by Google.  Also, you can do a Google image search for the Korean text, that way you can see the movie posters/signs.  Most Korean movie posters have an English subtitle on the bottom right corner.

Question:  My favorite movie theater is not on the list, how can I get it?

Answer: Several reasons.  One, the movie theater has not updated yet.  Two, perhaps it is a new location.  Three, perhaps there have been several updates that have confused our program.  Please contact me with the details and I can try to resolve the problem. (email below)

Question:  How come when I click on a theater location I cannot see the details or the theater location has no hyperlink?

Answer:  If there is no link showing, it is because I have not yet added the location in the system.  I am currently working to have every location.  Please be patient.  If a strange page loads or a blank page loads when the location is clicked, please contact me with the details as soon as possible. Question:  How come my theater information is wrong...?
